Registration and attendance confirmations

Please submit your spring term attendance confirmations as soon as you can. You must make your submissions by close of business on Thursday 25 April to ensure payment on Wednesday 1 May.

You should submit confirmations when students have started attending the course and become liable for tuition fees, this means after any cooling-off period. You should check any cooling-off period detailed in your student terms and conditions.

You should also submit confirmations of non-attendance and any change of circumstance notifications as soon as you know about them. This will help us to maintain accurate information on student accounts. It will also help us to minimise and recover any tuition fee overpayments.
Please also check and clear your registration worklist. You should submit any outstanding confirmations for new students on spring start courses. Please remember to submit an 'N' (not registered) or other appropriate code for students who have not enrolled.

Course collection for academic year 2024/25

You should now have updated all your full-time undergraduate courses for academic year 2024/25. If you have courses outstanding because you need to confirm details, please let your Account Manager know. Courses that are in unsaved status on the system will not be available to applicants.
If our CMS team contacts you about the details and validation of any of your courses, please respond as quickly as possible.

You can also update your part-time undergraduate courses for all domiciles.

If you have part-time courses that are only available to Scottish-domiciled students, you do not need to add these to CMS. The Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) gets the part-time study mode information from the student's SAAS application.

Postgraduate master's and doctoral courses for Student Finance England and Student Finance Wales will be rolled over for course submission week beginning 8 April for academic year 2024/25. You should update these by 14 June so they're available to applicants when the service opens at the end of June 2024.

The deadline for updating part-time undergraduate courses and postgraduate courses for Northern Ireland is Friday 19 April.

Bursary Administration Service

We issued the annual subscription invoices for academic year 2023/24 on 11 March. If you're paying by direct debit, funds will be deducted on or around 6 April. You'll be able to access student data for academic year 2024/25 once we've received your payment.

If you've activated bursary awards in academic year 2023/24, these have now been automatically rolled over and are available to edit for academic year 2024/25. The approval and activation process remains the same as before.

To make sure your information is up to date, we recommend you check and update the following:

• bursary contact on the HE Gateway
• your logo on student correspondence
• the signatory on your correspondence
• any non-standardised text on your student correspondence

Improvement to the Disabled Student Allowances (DSA) Service

On 26 February we launched changes to the DSA Service for students applying to Student Finance England and Student Finance Wales.
This new service provides students with a single point of contact to access:

• their needs assessments
• assistive technology
• assistive technology training

Students can access this through one of two suppliers, Study Tech or Capita, based on where they are studying.

Once a DSA application is approved by SLC, students will have a single point of contact with one supplier being responsible for their support. This ensures the customer journey is quicker and simpler and addresses previous issues around the service being too long and complex for students.

The service has been designed to:

• improve the DSA application journey
• improve the overall customer experience
• introduce formal contractual arrangements to deliver greater value for money for the student and the taxpayer

There will be further improvements later this year and throughout 2025.
